What is FESS?
During a power outage, the NO-BREAK KS relies on kinetic energy stored in the outer rotor, ensuring uninterrupted power until the diesel engine reaches its operational speed. This seamless transition guarantees the continuous security of critical loads. The system's core is the Kinetic Energy Accumulator, a simple yet ingenious mechanism consisting of two rotating parts: an outer rotor and an inner rotor. The inner rotor, powered by the main shaft, spins at 1500 rpm (50 Hz) or 1800 rpm (60 Hz) and houses both three-phase AC windings and DC windings.
The VYCON Direct Connect (VDC) system harnesses kinetic energy through a high-speed motor generator, active magnetic bearings for rotor stability, and an advanced control system. This innovation allows for rapid charging and discharging, rendering traditional battery technologies obsolete in high-power, short-duration applications.
